Food, Food, Yummy Food

I took a bread making class last weekend with my friend Janice.  I really enjoyed learning how to make bread.  I liked the feeling of the dough pressing against my palms. I liked the idea of getting to know the dough that I make and having a feel for when the dough is ready to proof.  I love that every loaf of bread that you make is different depending on the flour you use, the temperature of the room and the water and so many other things.

After bread making, it was date night.  Captain Canada wanted to check out Dunn's Famous, home of the smoked meat sandwich.  I am new to the smoked meat sandwich and wanted to see what everyone raves about.  My sandwich was huge and did not disappoint.

On our way home, we hopped off the Canada Line at Bridgeport and caught a little bit of the Richmond Night Market.  We were looking for dessert.  While they did not have deep fried oreo cookies, I settled for a deep fried Mars bar.

I know I am double fisted in this picture, but I did share with Captain Canada.
And a parfait that included chocolate soft serve, chocolate ice cream, fresh fruit, oreo cookie crumbs and whipping cream.

Love the wishing trees at the market.
