We Did Disneyland: The Highlights

When juicing an orange, it is important to get all the juice out.  I think that metaphor can be applied to what we are doing this summer.  We are trying to squeeze every drop out of our summer and that means we are getting out of town often.  We have not been home a lot.  Camping and swimming and trying out cottage life have gotten in the way of posting.  So a little late, but here are the highlights of our trip to Disneyland.

Watching the kids meet all the characters.

The parades.  Oh my goodness, they know how to do parades up right at Disneyland.  The singing, the dancing and the way it feels like every character is looking right at you.  We could not get enough of the parades.

Cars Land.  The new Cars Land in California Adventure is worth all the hype, during the day and at night.
This is the mad dash to the main attraction, "Radiator Springs Racers" ride at park opening.
Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
Cars Land at night.

Watching Sarah getting made into a princess at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  There are three hairstyle choices for princesses at the Boutique.  Sarah chose, Pop Princess.  The hair piece is to look like fireworks.

Exhibit A: Fireworks

Exhibit B:  Our Pop Princess

Jack told her she looked like a beautiful princess.
Family time.

Jack has a new love for all things 3-D.  He can rock the glasses, too.

At the end of a long day, the sight of the kids snuggling their new toys, fast asleep.

  1. You are a strong mama to be able to hold two sleeping kids at the same time in that one picture! I love the princess hairstyle. I've heard that it's a great experience. And WOW that rush of people in Cars Land is crazy. I'm hoping to take the kids in early 2013 and hope to pick a low crowd time of year so we can spend some time there without the mad dash part.

  2. Both my kids at that moment decided they didn't want their picture taken with Goofy. It was so crazy. So really I just had to hold them for a few minutes. The cab driver I talked to said late January and February are pretty quiet and then hopefully the Cars Land hysteria will have died down a little. We are already trying to figure out how soon we could go back:).
